Why choose this Kefalonia tour?
Join one of the most complete Kefalonia tours and discover the island’s highlights in just one unforgettable day. This guided trip combines spirituality, natural beauty, picturesque villages, and postcard-perfect views — ideal for cruise ship guests or first-time visitors who want to make the most of their time in Kefalonia.
Our day begins in Argostoli, the island’s capital. The first stop is the Monastery of Agios Gerasimos, dedicated to the patron saint of Kefalonia. Nestled in the valley of Omala, the monastery is a peaceful and spiritual place. You’ll learn about Saint Gerasimos and visit the church where his relics are kept, offering a truly meaningful start to the day.
We then travel to two of the most stunning natural attractions on the island: the Melissani and Drogarati caves.
At Melissani Lake, a short boat ride inside the cave reveals shimmering turquoise waters, illuminated by sunlight from a collapsed ceiling. This mythical underground lake was once a site of ancient worship.
Then, at Drogarati Cave, you’ll admire impressive stalactites and experience the cave’s famous acoustics, known to host classical concerts in the past.
Next, we head north to the cosmopolitan village of Fiskardo, one of the few areas that survived the 1953 earthquake. You’ll have free time (about 1.5 hours) to walk through its charming alleys, admire Venetian buildings, shop, and enjoy lunch by the harbor — a true Fiskardo and Assos village tour experience.
We continue to the peaceful village of Assos, a hidden gem known for its calm bay and castle ruins. Take in the views, explore the village, or enjoy a coffee by the sea.
Before returning to Argostoli, we stop at the famous Myrtos Beach viewpoint, where you’ll have time to take incredible photos of the island’s most iconic beach.
✨ A well-rounded Kefalonia tour that blends nature, culture, and local history — a day full of color, contrast, and unforgettable moments.
